Will an arrest warrant prevent me from a new job?

Last summer I was arrested and charged for disorderly conduct. I was walking home from a

friend’s house early in the morning and had to use the restroom, so I urinated in a local park. The following week I began my freshman year at college, on the opposite side of the state. I was unable to pay the fine and now have a warrant for my arrest back home. Will that stop me from finding a new job in my new city to pay for it?

It might. An employer is not prohibited from hiring you due to an arrest warrant or arrest record, but they are allowed to not hire for these reasons. So an employer who becomes aware of this could legally decide to not hire you, or, if you have been hired already, to terminate you.
