If there is no specific beneficiary named for the car, it will go to whomever (presumably you) inherited the "rest and residue" (and anything to that effect) of his estate; assets without specific designations as to what happens to them will be lumped in with the balance of the estate (even the cash and minor personal property) and will pass with them.
