IF the job was at fault in some way--such as dangerous working conditions; injured by the carelessness of a co-worker--you can sue the employer (and, if it is not an LLC or corporation, it's owner[s]) to recover such things lost wages, out-of-pocket medical costs, even possibly pain and suffering if you have suffered significant long-lasting impairment of life functions or enjoyment. However, suing them would be based on fault; if the employer or your co-workers were not at fault, they would not be liable, or financially responsible to you.
