What are my rights as a biological mother?

I had a baby when I was 17; I’m now 28 and have 3 daughters that I raise alone. My son was placed in my uncle’s temporary care when he was a baby. He gets smacked for calling me mom, they don’t allow him to see or spend time with his sisters or my famiy, and I’m not allowed to take him anywhere alone. What can I do?

The best way to answer your question is to determine whether or not there is a court order concerning the custody of your son and/or whether or not you gave up all parental rights as to him.

If not, then you have the right to have full custody of your son and raise him as you see fit. I suggest that you consult with a family law attorney to discuss the situation you are writing about as well as to review all court orders concerning your son to ascertain your options.
