What is the legal distance required to stay away from officers during police business?

I am curious what the legal distance is that I am required by law to be away. Had I been video taping would I have been within my right’s?

There is no per se legal distance that one is required to stay away from law enforcement during police business. The distance of "stay away" depends upon the circumstances of each matter. To be on the safe side a good twenty-five (25) feet would be an acceptable distance.
