What is the law for working 7 days on and 7 days off?

My boss is willing to let me and another co-worker job share by working 7 days on

and 7 days off. Is this possible?

Basically, with the exception of certain professions (i.e. truckers, airline pilots, certain medical personel, etc.), there is no limit as to how many hours/days in a row that an employee can be scheduled to work. That is of course unless hours are limited by the terms of an employment contract or union/collective bargaining agreement. Also, a worker's treatment must not be due to any form of legally actionable discrimination/retaliation. To the extent that an employee is "non-exempt" from overtime pay law, then for any hours over 40 , they must be paid as OT.
