What is the age limit on being considered a youthful offender?
My son is 20 and has fallen to peer pressure while hanging out with a so-called friend. The other kid has a grandmother that can afford a good lawyer and managed to get out of all charges.

One is considered to be a juvenile (youthful offender) under age 18. At age 18, one is considered to be an adult. There are cases in which someone under 18 is tried as an adult because of being charged with a horrific crime.
Your son is an adult at age 20 and will not be tried as a juvenile.
