what information is private for a company

our company did a job for another company which is now involved in a lawsuit. During the deposition the opposing counsel asked to see all of our material and lobor costs, what we paid our creidtors for materials and what we paid our employees. Do we have to give out this private information?

I suggst hiring a lawyer to represent you in this case.  I would need to see the complaint that was filed in the lawsuit, but generally, if the documents in questions are reasonably related to the issues involved in the lawsuit, a court is likely to order that the documents are produced.  The general rule is that the documents may be obtained by the other party if they are reasonably likely to lead to the discovery of admissible evidence.  This a broad rule.  Again, i would hire  a lawyer.
