What will happen to my investment in a
home built while married but mortgage

seperated for over a year but no

You need to seek legal help on this matter.  Tell your attorney.  The house will be disputed.  A proerty purchased or built during a marriage is considered marital property regardless of whose name it is in.  Changing the mortgage to your detriment should be counted against him.  But the facts will matter.  Good luck.
