Collective bargaining is the formal process of negotiating agreements between employees and an employer or group of employers in order to regulate employment issues. Typically, the interests of the employees are presented by representatives of a trade union to which the employees belong. Such agreements usually set out wages, working hours, training, health and safety, mechanisms for bringing grievances and the like.
