What do we do if 3 roommates will not approve anyone to sublet the 4th spot in a townhouse?

My colleged aged daugther has signed a lease with 3 others. She left the college in and gave nnotification to the other 3 so they could assist in finding a replacement. They found no one. She placed ads and has had 12 people interested but the other 3 roommates will not approve anyone. What can we do? The management company has also not been at all helpful, respectful, or empathetic. Do we have rights since notification was given 7 months ago?

You need to seek legal help to let some one read the lease agreement and the management agreement asap.  If she has a right to sublet her room the others may not have a right to "approve" or "disapprove."  The landlord may be the only one she needs to obtain the right from if the management company is giving you a hard time. Subletting means that she will still be primary on the lease and ultimately responsible.  Better to ask them to substitute her. Good luck.
