If you have been arrested for an open container but will be in Mexico for the next six (6) months, I recommend that you consult with and retain a criminal defense attorney to represent you in this matter which most likely is a misdemeanor.

Possibly the retained attorney will be able to get the matter resolved without you having to appear in court. If the matter is not resolved in the six (6) month time period that you are writing about, the criminal defense attorney might be able to get the matter continued until you return to this country.
