What contingency fees do lawyers generally charge?
I would like to file a lawsuit against my health insurance company for bad faith.
I was reading online that generally lawyers charge a contingency fees if the
lawsuit turns out to be successful, otherwise nothing is charged out of pocket,
so what contingency fees is charged generally?

The contingency fee is not set by law.
Generally, attorneys charge 1/3 if the case is settled without filing a lawsuit. Some attorneys charge 40% if a lawsuit is filed. Others charge 1/3 if a lawsuit is filed.
If the case includes representing a minor, the fee is less.
