What are my rights regarding last minute schedule changes?

I work part-time in a retail environment. My employer often makes last minute changes to the schedule without notice, and I don’t receive my schedule until 3 days before the first day on shift. Is the business within their rights to do this?

Unless this policy violates the terms of an employment contract or union agreement, it is legal. The fact is that in an "at will" work arranfement, a company can set the condtions of employment much as it sess fit (absent some form of actionable discrimination).
