What are the laws regarding selling alcohol when a minor is present at a liquor store?
A local liquor store refused to sell alcohol to a friend of mine because I was in the store with him. He is over 21 and presented his driver’s license. I informed them that I was under 21 and would not be drinking. According to the store’s manager, it is illegal to sell alcohol to a patrons when they are accompanied by a minor. I had never heard of this law. Is this true?

The representative of the local liquor store is flat out wrong stating that it is illegal to sell alcohol to an adult when the adult is accompanied by a minor. I have purchased wine at the local grocery store when accompanied by my minor children and have never had an issue with being refused the purchase of alcohol in such a situation.
