If I am unable to get what i inherited, what legal means do I have to get it?

And supposedly, one of the items is missing. Do I have any recourse?

I am sorry for your loss and for the problems that have ensued.  I am unclear what you mean by "unable" to get it but it sounds as if you may need a lawyer to write a letter on your behalf and demand an accounting of the estate 's probate. Once you know what happened you an better decide a plan of action but you absolutely have recourse.  Good luck.
