You don't give much by way of details. Is there a Will or not? How large is the estate (if it's small there are expedited procedures in lieu of a formal porbate)? What are the assets (e.g. an IRA, life insursnce proceeds, etc. go directly to the named beneficiary and is not part of the estate).
