My son got a speeding ticket 70 in a 45 on may 6 th. He is in the Air Force and needs to leave the state on the 22nd of this month. He is leaving to drive to his next base which is across the country. He needs to report on the 30th. His court date was set for the 6th of next month. He has been to the court house 3 times this week trying to get it fixed and paid for before he leaves but the police officer has not put his ticket in the system correctly. He called him on Monday and the officer told him he just put it in on the 13th but the court can find no record of it by name, citation number etc. What should he do?

The best thing for your son to do with respect to the ticket that you are writing about is to retain a criminal defense attorney about the situation to represent him given the fact that he will be leaving the state he resides in soon.
The attorney should write a letter for your son to clarify the situation and be able to make all court appearances for your son if need be until the situation is resolved.
