If the statute of limitations expires soon for my personal injury claim, do I need a final settlement from at-fault carrier or lose my right to sue?
My state’s statute of limitations for my personal injury and property damage claim expires in a few days and I’ve recently sent my demand/settlement letters to the at-fault insurance carrier. If I don’t get final resolution of my claims by that expiration date, do I lose my rights to sue later if I’m not satisfied? In other words, is starting the official settlement negotiation process enough to keep my right to sue later?

You either need to get a final settlement completed and signed or file a lawsuits with the court before the Statute of Limitations expires. If you don't, you could lose your entire claim.
