If I leased a car for my girlfriend but she no longer wants the car, can I demand that she pay the remainder of the lease?

I leased a car in my own name for my girlfriend and she reimbursed the leasing costs to me personally. The relationship has ended and she has returned the car to me.

Okay so I think that you have just learned a very important and expensive lesson.  First I am worried that you defrauded the leasing company by leasing a vehicle that they would not have leased to her otherwise.  Second, is your agreement with you in writing? If not, then you have an oral contract upon which you need to sue.  You need to make sure one that you can prove the agreement and two, that it does not violate what is known as the Statute of Frauds.  But pursing this is not going to be easy.  Good luck.
