QDOA

In NC, if you are already divorced and the QDOA was not address at time of divorce is it too late to apply now. I was married 27 years and my ex is a member of the NC retirement system. I have been divorced for 12 years.

If there was an asset subject to distribution that wasn't addressed at all, but you knew about it, I'm afraid it's probably too late to go after it 12 years later.  If it's a substantial enough asset to want to be certain, you should talk to an attorney in your area, who can review all of the unique facts of your situation.
