Unless this action constitutes some form of actionable discrimination, it is legal. Therefore, unless production incentives are given or not given based on a worker's race, relgion, age (over 40) gender, disability, nationality, etc., your employer is violating no law. The fact is that, absent an employment contract or union agreement to the contrary, a company can set the conditions of employment much as it sees fit.
