oxycontin the use of for chronic back pain etc.

my wife has been taking Oxycontin for 7 years during an ongoing workmans comp claim in California. The claim has been resolved but she kept her medical open. The workman’s comp insurance company has now denied her prescription coverage. Does she have a claim against the company to resolve the isue of dependancy to the medication and then just cutting her off?

You cannot get a definitive answer herein.  You need to have someone (a workers comp attorney) review your wife's case. Try www.attorneypages.com and check his or her disciplinary record at www.calbar.ca.gov under attorney search.

Why? Because the attorney needs to sit down, review the records, any transcripts, the history, previous decisions, talk to your wife, possibly her doctors, etc.
