No, there is no maximum to how much overtime employees can be required to work; the employer can, literally, require them to work 168 hours per week. (As a general matter; there are some jobs, like airline pilot or truck driver, subject to industry-specific regulation of hours). The only limitation is that an employee *must* be paid for ALL overtime, so too much overtime can get prohibitively expensive for the employer...that said, if they are willing to pay it, they can make you work it.
