If new owners took over and in the agreement no deposit or leases where handed over, what do I do?
I have asked the new owners about my deposit and they said I won’t get any money back. I also asked about if they were going to help me in any way and they said I should talk to churches and families first. I don’t have any children. So what can I do?

Under the laws of all states in this country if your lease agreement was with the prior owner for the unit you are renting and you delivered to him or her a security deposit, the prior owner is responsible to return it to you not the new owners of the rental since your contract was not with them. The only exception is if you signed a tenant estoppel agreement with the new owner and the former owner where the new owner accepted the responsibility for your deposit.
