NC DUI refusal to do breathalyzer

I was arrested in NC for DUI and refused to do breathalyzer. Did I make it worse for myself? Also if I lose my license in NC will my licenses for MI , SC and NY be lost as well?

How can you have multiple state drivers' licenses? Or are these another type of license, like some sort of business license? In most states, refusal to do a breathalyzer test will mean an automatic suspension of your driver's license.

In North Carolina, refusal to do a breathalyzer test is not a criminal act but it does carry an automatic suspension or revocation.  See the following:

A year suspension applies to refusal to do breathalyzer: http://www.ncga.state.nc.us/EnactedLegislation/Statutes/HTML/BySection/Chapter_20/GS_20-16.2.html
