It really depends on strategy and the facts of your case.  If she wishes that you leave the house then it may be best to obtain an attorney and enter in to an agreement now as to matter relating to support, etc.  Leaving does not relieve you of your responsibilities for say the mortgage and maintenance and upkeep.  Quite the contrary.  You would still have that obligation as well as the rent for the new place.  I would get some advice before going.  Good luck.
