Where do I file for divorce if my wife lives in another state?

My wife, my daughter and I were moving out od state. She was to come a couple of months later with my daughter and I but she decided to leave us. I just need to know if I can file in here even though my wife never moved here with us and whether or not I can file here even though my daughter was born in another state?

Texas law allows you to file in Texas after the children have resided here for at least 6 months.
