If my son was driving his car with a suspended license and had an accident, what will happen if the other driver’s insurer is suing him and he doesn’t have a job?

He ran a red light and his car hit a car in the intersection; his car is totaled.

Your son won't go to jail for being unable to pay.  The other driver's insurance carrier won't be able to enforce a court judgment against your son; however, if he does find a job, the judgment could be  enforced with a wage garnishment.
