What are my son’s rights/responsibilities regarding his soon-to-be-born child?

My son and his 15 year old girlfriend are expecting a baby in 6 months. He will be 18 when the baby is born. Her mother is stating he will have no rights to the baby and if he does choose to be on the birth certificate then he will have to pay child support. What does he do?

I suggets that your son consult with a family law attorney about the matter that you have written about for legal guidance. He will be responsible for child support payment regardless if he has any visitation or custody rights. Under the laws of all states in this country he has rights to custody and visitation as to his soon to be born child.
