What to do if my roommates are trying to evict me?

I am on the lease. I pay everything 1-2 weeks in advance every month; I pay in cash but have no records of this. The other roommates also do this as well. I just want to live here to the rest of my lease agreement and then move out. I have never done anything wrong and stay in my room at all times. I believe they are trying to kick me out so their friend can move in.

Who is the landlord and what is the basis for the eviction?  Is it for non-payment of the rent?  How can they legally evict you if they are not the landlord?  The answer is, they can not.  You have a problem with the no receipts for the rent.  I would speak with a legal aid attorney on the matter just to see what can be done on the basis of these facts.  Good luck.
