What to do if my roommate/tenant keeps leaving the front door open all night?

I have asked him to stop ad he has not. The situation makes me feel very unsafe. I am thinking about changing the locks and requiring him to call me if he needs to get in so I can make sure the door is closed and locked when he gets in. Can I do this?

Rather thsn changing the locks and getting into a further issue with your roommate, how about contacting the landlord about the dangerous situation the roommate is causing by leaving the front door open all night?

Another option is to a lock on your bedroom door from the inside.
