I am alwyer in CT and practice in this area. You may rent the unit out in the interim. However, make sure that the tenat is clear about what is going on. Or you can not let the tenant know and just rent it out and give the tenant his 30 days notice to leave when you find a buy and have sale date. the reason you should let the tenant know is that you do not want to have an pissed off tenant that is forced to move out after getting settled and may force you to do an eviction action that will delay the sale. Honesty up front will go a long way.
