How do I go about changing my name on my socialsecurity cardand my green card?
I am a permanent resident Canadian citizen. I am eligible for US citizenship however I do not want to become one at this time maybe in the future. I have been married for almost a year to a US citizen and have a US born child together. I have been a permanent resident for almost 6 years. The rest of my family will be applying for citizenship in the coming months. I however would like more time in deciding. But changing my name is something I need done.

You need to go through the social security administration and immigration to change your cards. It is a simple application process but make sure you are not creating a problem for yourself in the history of your status as a green card holder when you change your name, You may need to change your social security card first but speak to the Social Security Administration first before you move forward with any attempts to change the Green Card.
