What are my right regarding an insurance claim investigation?
My motorcycle was stolen out of my apartment building’s gated underground garage. I filed a police report and made a claim with my insurance company. Now they are sending an investigator to my residence to meet with me. I understand they need to investigate all claims but I want to know my rights. I would feel more comfortable meeting at a public spot and what information am I legally required to provide. I have no issue cooperating but I also do not want them invading my privacy.

Unless you are subpoenaed or they use some other court or legal process, you don't have to speak with them or share any particular information; but if you don't, they may refuse to pay your claim due to your breach of your obligation to cooperate as well as due to the reasonable suspicion such non-cooperation raises. If you were involved in the theft in some way, you may have good reasons to not cooperate--just understand that will affect your claim.
