If my last DUI was 14 years ago and I am being charged with a second offense, can I get it dropped to a first offense?

Also, I work seasonally building pools out of state. Can sentencing be drawn out to the end of summer?

I suggest that you consult with a criminal defense attorney experienced in DUI matters in that ordinarily the time limit for an enhancement with respect to a prior DUI is seven years back. From what you have written, it does not appear that the enhancement for the prior DUI has merit. You could draw sentencing out if you plea out to the charge possible to the end of summer. I suggest that you consult with a criminal defense attorney further about your matter.
