If you want your twenty (20) year old grandson to move out from the unit you own where for all intents and purposes you are his landlord, under the laws of all states in this country you are required to give him at least thirty (30) days written notice of the need to move.
The document should be dated and signed by you. You should keep a copy of it for your records as a matter of course.
