If my father passed away recently, am I responsible for his medical bills and credit card debt?

I am the only child. Home is in a trust and I am now about to sell home.

Sorry to hear about your father.

You are not liable for your father's medical bills or credit card debt.  Some collection agencies might tell you that there is a moral obligation to pay these debts.  Don't listen to that.  You are not liable for your father's debts.

However, it is possible that creditors could sue your father's estate to try to recover what they are owed.
