That depends on the terms of this pension. It would be legal for a pension to be paid to descendents on death, but it is NOT required--and it is not common, either: I have never seen a pension pay out to adult children on death (unless those children were disabled in some significant way, such as mentally incompetent, and were still dependents of the deceased). So if the pension states that it goes to children, etc. it will go to you, but not otherwise.
