What to do if my daughter’s friend had marijuana in her car without her knowledge and was stopped by the police?
They were both arrested and my car was impounded. I have since learned that her friend has made a deal with the police and is being a informant for the police and they are using my car for him to make these drug deals with. I was told that I would receive a letter within 7-10 business days on how to recover my car. Since no trial and no guilt has been determined as of yet is it legal for them to be using my car and to be endangering the possible welfare of my daughter by doing this?

Actually, in many jurisdictions, if drugs are found in a vehicle, that vehicle may be seized by law enforcement. Your daughter needs to immediately retain the services of an attorney, whether she knew or did not know there were drugs in the vehicle. Also, an attorney will need to investigate the reason for the stop. If there was no lawful reason to stop the vehicle, all of the evidence can be thrown out.
