Are OTC meds considered “medical bills”?

It depends. Sometimes doctors ask their patients to get OTC drugs instead of prescribed drugs and in such cases it would be shared by you. Technically, this should only include things like copay and your out of pocket expenses. If it is necessary for the kids' medical conditions, I think you will be glad to share it.
