My construction company has failed to pay sub contrac tors on my home project, resulting in multiple liens on my property. Should I retain a lawyer?

You should absolutely retain a lawyer.  He or she will need to see your construction contract, and whatever information you have about the liens.  One place to find a qualified attorney is our website, http://attorneypages.com

If the loan is set up to make payments directly to the construction company, you need to have your attorney look at that as well.  The sooner you have a lawyer on board, the sooner everyone involved will get the message that this is the wrong project for playing games.
