What to do if my boyfriend just had his green card lottery visa approved and he has to leave Australia within 6 months but I was not listed as his partner on the application?

If we were to get married would I be able to apply for a visa? How long until I could live there with him, and can I work there. If I am not able be there is he able to travel back and forth without losing his visa?

If you get married before he is issued his immigrant visa at the US Embassy in Australia and makes an entry to the US, you as his wife (but you have to be legally  married) should qualify for an immigrant visa along with him.  As such, you will enter the US as a permanent resident (green card holder) and will be able to live and work in the US.
