What are our rights if my 7 year old daughter was assaulted by an 11 year old boy while riding the school bus home?
This boy continuously grabbed my daughters leg right near her private area. My daughter screamed out for him to stop again and again. I contacted the school to make a formal complaint and the school took no action. I have made a report to the police and there is an ongoing investigation. I feel like they are not going to pursue this incident because in their eyes it is minor. However, my daughter and I both feel that she has been violated by this boy and action needs to be taken. This same child has harassed and bullied my daughters for the last 2 years. I have documents signed by the principal stating the is a problem, that also date all the way back.

You now need a lawyer. You need to have this lawyer who is experienced with bullying, schools and taking this to the media possibly to bring the school into the public forum and have to answer to what they failed to do. It may be a lengthy process or it may be quick, depending on how the school reacts to you now having hired an attorney. Make sure your daughter is recorded by you telling you what occurred so that the memory doesn't necessarily fade.
