What to do if my 20 year old son was injured on the job on his 1st day of work?

He was working part-time in the lab, at the steel mill where I work, when some type of malfunction occurred as he was testing a piece of pipe. The incident resulted in 4 stitches to the chin, blacking out and the need for oral surgery to repair one of his teeth. Workers compensation is paying for all of his medical.

It would appear that your son may also have a facial scar from this injury.  Scarring on the face or neck may result in a separate claim for compensation under the Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Act.  You should talk to a local workers' compensation attorney to be sure your son has received all of the compensation to which he is entitled.

If worker's compensation is paying compensation to him, there is really nothing else to do: when worker's compensation pays workers for their injuries, they in turn lose or give up the ability to sue their employer; and if his medical costs are being taken care of, there is most likely nothing else to sue for, anyway.
