I don't understand. Your lawyer committed malpractice and didn't file documents in time for a discharge? This doesn't make sense.  If you are due a discharge of your mortgage loan, you can file pretty much any time.  Then your mortgage company says you automatically reaffirmed the debt? I don't understand.  Reaffirmation usually occurs in debt collection -- so since this is in the bankruptcy section, did you include the loan in the bankruptcy? If so, then you would not be entitled to keep the house.
