Is there any legal document that my ex-husband and I could sign ensuring me that the money from the sale of my house will go to me?
My house was awarded to me in the divorce. It is in my ex-husbands name. I have lived in the house since the divorce and I have made all the payments and paid for home improvements. I am ready to sell. My ex-husband says he will sign everything and give me the money from the sale, but I am a bit uneasy about this.

As well you should be. Why was there never a deed executed as part of the divorce decree from him to you? Generally speaking that is standard in a divorce when one party is awarded the house. The other party executes a quit claim deed and it is recorded. I would go to an attorney and have him or her send your ex husband a letter requesting that he do so now. Otherwise if that is not a possibility (and really he or she needs to read your divorce decree) then I would go to court to make him do it. I would not take a chance at all. Good luck.
