Is there a breach of contract? What are my remedies?

I agreed to purchase a new car from a dealer in Florida while I live in Michigan. After several conversations, and emails, I agreed to purchase the car. I started the process got all the info needed from dealer, closed on a loan with the bank, sent a check to the dealer, signed off on the paperwork, then the day before I was scheduled to pick up the new car, after calling the dealer I was told it was no longer available as they did a dealer transfer to another dealer in Virginia. The dealer had the check for 8 days before I was notified that there was no car for me.

Sounds like a breach.  You can contact the Michigan Office of Insurance and Financial Regulation ( http://www.michigan.gov/dleg/0,1607,7-154-10555---,00.html) and file a consumer complaint.

Hope this helps.
