If your bills were incurred prior to marriage, your spouse is NOT responsible for them.

If your bills were incurred during marriage, creditors will go after your spouse for payment if you don't pay the bills.

If you incur bills after divorce or after separation with no intent to reunite, your ex is NOT responsible for your bills.
