Is my husband legally responsible to pay his half of the bills, including rent, cable, internet, etc. if he left me?

My husband left me. I told him he can still live at the apartment if he chooses (on the couch). I don’t want this divorce. As an agreement, he offered to “split” the time we spend at the apartment – he gets the week, I get weekends or he wants me to resume all payments so he can get his own place. He says he is not paying for somewhere that he doesn’t live. I can’t afford this by myself and our landlord won’t cancel lease (ends in 4 months).

This is a difficult situation.  While I in no why want to advise you to divorce or not, I would suggest that you pay the bills, and don't ruin your own credit.  If there is a divorce, then the fact that you were paying these bills, which he is obligated to pay, will be addressed during the divorce.
